Mariachi Herencia de Mexico

A Mariachi Christmas

🗓️ Saturday, December 13, at 7:30PM
📍 Browning Center at WSU

Tickets start at $17

Originating in cities like Guadalajara and Mexico City, mariachi music’s influence has spread across the world, but in 2016, it caught fire in a surprising place: Chicago. Born in the Windy City while steeped in Mexican roots, Mariachi Herencia de México has “taken mariachi music to whole new heights” (Chicago Sun Times). With five chart-topping albums and two Latin GRAMMY® nominations under their charro belts, this vibrant young ensemble—ages 18 to 32—embodies a new bicultural generation. In true mariachi fashion, the 14-piece band dazzles with sweeping strings, vibrant horns, romantic guitars (including the Mexican vihuela), bass, harp, and soaring vocal harmonies. Celebrate the holidays with this heartwarming concert, where the magic of Christmas meets the cultural brilliance of Mexico. ¡Viva el mariachi!
